Colonial Bag Company, Inc. Announce Expansion in Lake Park, Georgia

 

Valdosta, Georgia- The Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority (VLCDA) announced today that Colonial Bag Company, Inc. will expand their manufacturing and warehouse/distribution facility in Lake Park, Georgia. This expansion represents a $1,000,000 investment, creation of 10 additional new jobs.

“We are excited to see Colonial Bag Company, Inc. expand its operations in Lake Park, Georgia adding capital investment and jobs to the community,” said Brad Folsom, chairman of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority.   

The expansion will allow Colonial Bag Company, Inc.  to expand capacity by adding a new warehouse with the purchase of over 4 acres in Lake Park Industrial Park.

Lake Park, Georgia based Colonial Bag Company, Inc. was founded by the Drumheller family and has been actively engaged in the bag manufacturing business for almost 70 years. The company is a manufacturer of multi-wall bags that can be used for many different purposes.

The Development Authority is an organization that oversees industrial and economic development in Valdosta and Lowndes County. In 1960 the Authority was formed as an amendment to the Georgia State Constitution. The mission of the Valdosta-Lowndes Development Authority is to create an environment to attract new industry and promote the growth of existing industry to drive job creation and capital investment.
