Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority Hires April Brogdon as Research and Recruitment Analyst

VALDOSTA, Ga. — The Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority (VLCDA) has announced the hiring of April Brogdon as its new Research and Recruitment Analyst, strengthening the organization’s capacity to attract, retain, and expand business and industry in the region.

Brogdon recently joined the VLCDA and supports strategic economic development initiatives through research, data analysis, and project coordination, assisting with business recruitment, expansion, and retention efforts. Her role includes analyzing target industries, workforce and wage data, demographics, and economic trends that influence site selection, as well as preparing Requests for Information (RFIs) in coordination with partners such as the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Georgia Power, and Electric Cities of Georgia.
“April brings a strong analytical skillset and a strategic approach that will strengthen our targeted recruitment efforts and our ability to support existing industries,” said Niki Ogletree, president and CEO of the VLCDA. “Her work will help ensure we are pursuing opportunities that align with our workforce and infrastructure, while attracting high-quality, high-paying jobs that support a strong quality of life for families across Valdosta-Lowndes County.”
In addition to her recruitment-focused work, Brogdon will lead grant research, reporting, and compliance efforts—ensuring the VLCDA meets all programmatic and financial requirements while identifying new funding opportunities to support economic development projects.
